Welcome to “More Than Ink”, a dynamic 5-week in-person training that blends the craft of screen printing with the cultivation of pro-social skills like compassion, integrity, and resilience. This course is designed for artists, entrepreneurs, community changemakers, and anyone eager to develop their craft while embedding meaningful values into their work.

The Aims of the Training

This course aims to:

  • Develop advanced skills in screen printing techniques and processes
  • Integrate core social and emotional skills—compassion, integrity, and resilience—into the artistic process
  • Equip participants with tools to produce impactful, socially conscious art and branding
  • Foster a mindful, ethical approach to creativity that promotes community well-being and social connection

  • Schedule: Every Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: In-person sessions in Nairobi (venue to be confirmed)
  • Course Fee: 14,000 Kenyan Shillings
    • A discount of up to 50% available for students and low-income participants

Onyango is a passionate trainer and the founder of the Mindful African Initiative (https://mindfulafrican.org/). With over ten years of experience, he specializes in enhancing emotional and social well-being through his work as an eCPR Trainer, CBCT Trainer, and SEE Learning Trainer. Additionally, Onyango has over 15 years of hands-on experience in silk screen printing, blending his artistic craft with his focus on community development. He believes that knowledge, creativity, and social skills are vital for personal growth and pro-social change, and he is dedicated to inspiring a compassionate society that promotes inclusivity and a better future for all.
